Wounded Warrior Project Nissan Titan Ready for Alaska Adventure. Custom Digital Camo Wrap by SFD Studio

The current Nissan Titan fullsize truck may be on its way out, but Nissan wanted to send it out in style. The manufacturer has teamed up with the Wounded Warrior Project to outfit a Nissan Titan to be the adventure rig for two wounded warriors, David Guzman and Kevin McMahon. The truck began as a 2014 Titan Pro4X Crew Cab. Nissan then enlisted the help of its Facebook fans to choose how to outfit it. The final phase of the buildup included a custom desert digital camo wrap from SFD Studio.

Amazing Spiderman2, Nissan and SFD Studio

The staff here at SFD studio is required to keep a lot of secrets. We sometimes have jobs we cannot speak about for a year or more. This is one of those jobs. We were asked by Nissan Design America more than a year ago to wrap six Nissan NV 200 vans to look like NY taxi's for the newly released Amazing Spiderman2 on DVD. We have been waiting patiently for the release so we could share our work on the project. Without further delay here they are.

Flashback Friday - Bill Elliot's Toy Story 2 Nascar graphics

Going back to 1992 I received a call from my good friend Chris Hukill from Precision Preparation Inc. to help him with some graphics on a one off Toy Story 2 NASCAR driven by Bill Elliot. This job was a combination of paint and decals, as you can see it turned out very nice. Chris is one of the best painters around and always a lot of fun to work with.

Flashback Friday - Overhaulin'

 Back in 2004 Chip & I had only known each other a year or so when he asked me if I was interested in working with him on a new TV show project called Overhaulin'. We had already worked on a few episodes of "Rides" together so I thought it would just be another small segment of one episode in which I would likely end up on the cutting room floor again. Here we are getting ready to start the 8th season and still working together. We have done the sponsor decals on the walls since day one but occasionally we are asked to help out on the cars themselves. In this case it happened to be the first episode we filmed, although it was the second or third to air. Chip drew out what he wanted on the hood, my brother Matt and myself created a pattern off that to make a "spraymask". As you can see the final result is spectacular!

A 1/16" stripe built into the spraymask adds a nice detail.
